インドの街でとてもカラフルなクモの写真が撮影され、ネット上で注目を集めている。

カラフルなハエトリグモの仲間

そのクモを撮影したのはインド南部カルナータカ州の州都、バンガロールで暮らすアマチュア写真家の、Pavan Tavrekereさん（31）だ。

彼はこれまでにもさまざまな生物の美しい写真を撮影し、それをインスタグラムに投稿してきたという。

そして先日、ハエトリグモに属す「Chrysilla lauta」というクモを撮影。虹色に輝く姿が見事だとして、注目を集めることに。

Should I even talk about how handsome this young guy is? Of course, he was jumping all around and stopped only for a few seconds when he had to survey the area, and then off he would go, speeding away! This is the most colourful spider found in India so far (according to me at the least). Yes, the spider is saturated, but not over saturated. If you feel it is, look up a few other images for chrysilla and you'll know. Also, I used two flashes, which means that I get more colours and details than a single flash or naturally lit images. 体長はわずか0.75cm

この「Chrysilla lauta」は、大きさがわずか0.75cm。体全体が明るいピンクや青、紫、赤、オレンジで彩られ、輝いているという。

Tavrekereさんはこのクモを、バンガロール市のJ. P. ナガーの街で発見。すぐに撮影したそうだ。

ただしこのクモはすぐにジャンプして移動し、3秒以上も同じ場所にとどまっていなかったため、彼は素早く何枚かの写真を撮らねばならなかったとか。

またその写真を人々に見せた後も、Tavrekereさんは別の場所へ行き、「Chrysilla lauta」を撮影してきたと語っている。

IT企業に勤めるTavrekereさんによれば、このクモはその地域では、毎年2月から4月になると、よく見ることができるという。（了）
