この事件が起きたのは11月7日の午後3時頃（現地時間）、場所はポーランドの首都・ワルシャワから250km離れた町、Krakówだ。

犯人の男は町の中央広場に車で乗り込み、走行しながら無差別に、通行人に向けて発砲。現時点で、少なくとも6人が死亡した。

また警察官2人を含む、少なくとも15人が負傷したという。負傷者のうち、12人が重体だとされている。

At around 3:00 p.m., an unidentified gunman opened fire on pedestrians from a car traveling from Sławkowska Street toward Krakow’s Main Market Square.

According to preliminary reports, five people have been killed and others injured. The death toll has not yet been officially confirmed.

Emergency services are at the scene, and a medical helicopter has landed in the square. Police are searching for the armed attacker. Residents and tourists are urged to avoid the area and seek shelter in a safe location.

犯人は撃たれて拘束される

警察官も男に対して発砲し、その後犯人は撃たれ、負傷し、交差点付近で拘束された

男は身分証明書を持っていなかったが、警察は身元を特定。ポーランド国籍だと判明したそうだ。

警察官からの情報によると、男は軍服のような服装をしていたという。しかし、まだ犯人の動機は明らかにされていない。

地元警察は、別の犯人が逃走中であるという報道を否定。SNS上での陰謀論も否定した。

ポーランドのKarol Nawrocki大統領は、Krakówで発生した銃撃事件で6人が死亡したことを受け、犠牲者に哀悼の意を表し、SNSに「この悲劇的な事件の報道に、深く心を痛めている」と投稿した。

また大統領は、「ポーランド国民の安全が最優先事項だ」とし、現在警察と連絡を取り合い、事件の説明を受けているという。（了）
